Our Services

  • Let us help you as a Lenders’ (investors’) Technical Consultant. We specialize in feasibility, appraisal, and ESDD for projects looking to meet international E&S standards such as the IFC Performance Standards or Equator Principles. Following investment, we work with you to set up portfolio monitoring, including loan covenant tracking, site monitoring, ESG capacity building with portfolio company leadership, 90-day plans, and integrated reporting.

  • We provide potential investors with a clear assessment of environmental and social risks associated with a project prior to investment and provide a detailed gap assessment against international standards.

  • The foundation of good risk management is an integrated, bespoke ESMS. We work with your team to build an appropriate, scalable E&S management system including screening criteria, exclusion lists, risk assessment, and ESAP development. For Financial Institutions, we are experts at revising your existing work to incorporate Environmental and Social Action Plan items from your investors and lenders. Development often includes training and capacity building for your team.

  • For smaller institutions or organizations still in fund raising, we can represent your ESG function to potential investors and lenders. With experience working directly with funds, as an LP, and on ESG Subcommittees, we bring a credible voice to the table as you are scaling. We also offer parental leave coverage.

  • As your organization grows, we can offer technical assistance and advisory on building and growing your ESG organization including training, capacity building, system development, development of Scopes of Work (SOWs) and Terms of Reference (TORs) for IESCs and specialist studies, engagement with Agent/Intercreditor Banks, and legal negotiations related to ESG issues in financing agreements.

  • Climate transactions services cover a range of activities including physical and transition risk assessments, assessment against voluntary and compliance carbon markets, and development of thought leadership on projects meeting climate taxonomy (including SLB/L; EU and DFI taxonomy, and other types of projects including renewable energy, fossil transition, and carbon credits).

Aki Advisory specializes in guiding Financial Institutions and Project Sponsors to achieve seamless compliance with international requirements like the IFC Performance Standards, MDB Safeguard Frameworks and Equator Principles.
