  • Aki was founded by Matt Sugihara in 2025. Aki comes from the Japanese term for “autumn”, a time to reap the rewards of hard work done in the spring and summer and prepare for the unknowns of winter. We use a persimmon (kaki) as our logo, both a symbol of autumn, but also of patience and prosperity.
